A bit of history
Kristal D&D was set up in 1978 by David Garrett, StJohn Jones and Edward Daniel, who were already experienced dairy and refrigeration engineers. They were keen to develop their skills into a specialised business offering milking and milk cooling solutions to dairy farmers and milk processors around their base in Bromyard, Herefordshire. The milking machine and dairy supplies business has now expanded to include farms throughout Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Monmouthshire and South Shropshire, whilst we offer milk cooling solutions throughout the United Kingdom. David Garrett, StJohn Jones and Edward Daniel remain the Directors of the company and continue to be responsible for the day-to-day running of the business.
Bespoke milk cooling solutions
Milk cooling solutions have become our specialism over the years.We noticed that some sectors of the British dairy industry were not well-served by systems widely available in Europe, in particular the larger dairy farms and privately-run milk processors whose needs were not satisfied by the large scale commercial manufacturers. As the profitability of production was squeezed we also felt it was more and more important to maximise profitability through the efficient use of pre-cooling and heat recovery to optimise efficiency. To meet this demand we now manufacture a range of milk silos, ice builders, heat recovery systems, plate coolers and condensing units. Furthermore we will design and manufacture bespoke milk cooling systems to meet special criteria, and offer this service throughout the United Kingdom.
The right person for the job
To ensure we serve our customers to the best possible standards, our staff are divided into specialist teams whose members are thoroughly trained to do their job. Our team of service engineers ensures that installation engineers are not normally removed from work on a new parlour to service a breakdown. Hygiene specialists operate the route van so that they can offer effective hygiene advice as well as provide spares and sundries to our customers. All staff attend regular training in their particular specialism to ensure that they keep up-to-date with the latest equipment, techniques and ideas. The field staff are backed by our professional and well-organised office team, who make sure parts are ordered, messages passed on and generally provide a smooth and efficient service to our customers.
